Team Virage joined the second annual round of the European Le Mans Series, on the mythical track of Monza, in Italy.
Racing the number 20 car, under the name of Racing for Poland, Enqvist was lined up with Tomasz Blicharski and ex-Lotus F1 test driver Alex Fontana. Fontana scored the 6th fastest lap time in Free Practice 2. The Swiss-Greek then qualified the Ligier JSP3 in 9th position for the race. Enqvist was really looking forward to this race, however after free practice 1 he started to feel really bad and later it was confirmed he got food poisoning. This meant Enqvist missed Fp2 and only had 6 flying laps of practice before he would take the start on Saturday.
Enqvist took the start and managed to keep his position for the first laps, until a contact with a LMP2 made him drop three places. Changing for Blicharski, the Polish bronze driver drove a 1h45 stint, until he got hit at Ascari by a Porsche, and sent into the gravel trap. While it took around 10 minutes to get the car out and do some repairs, the team lost any chance to end up in the top 10. Fontana, who drove the last hour, managed to be one of the fastest LMP3 on track, but the number 20 eventually finished at the 14th position, several laps down.
